Glenn and I did something we have actually never done before - ate French fries outside. Yes, like picnic. We happened to park in front of Salty's Fish & Chips in Sidney and bought some to go, then walked to the shore and ate them at a picnic table.
You may remember there was a nice gazebo in the little park by the wharf. Gone. In its place is this structure - a bandshell perhaps. Sidney is in desperate need of some shady spots along its waterfront. Trees would do wonders to soften the somewhat austere, sterile look but some owners of the ever-increasing condos might complain if they blocked their view.
