I wandered around town...
... then to the Barbican...
... and back along the waterfront.
By then, people were gathering before the Olympic Torch relay was due to pass through town. I hadn't intended to go but crowds of people were heading to the Hoe that evening and I got caught up in the festive atmosphere.
In the end, the torch passed by so quickly and so many heads were in front of me that I didn't even see it. It was a fun event though, and very close to my hotel.
