Snowdrops
No wonder Victoria's flower count is postponed to March this year. We had a dusting of snow last week... and today someone remarked that spring is cancelled. Snowdrops seem later than usual but are finally out all around town (batch in photo below along Mt. Newton X Road). Some crocus and daffodils blooms are appearing, and the Indian Plum is coming into leaf, despite the cold weather.
The flower count is postponed?
ReplyDeleteVictoria is famous for postponing things, aren't they? Remember after the Blizzard of 1996, Victoria postponed New Year's Eve when everyone was shut away in their snowed-in homes?
We rang in the new year in the Inner Harbour on Jan 31st.
Ha, well I think it's cheating to postpone the flower count. We must be the laughing stock of the country.
